Bus Pass and App Information

Bus Pass and App Information

August 2025

Starting this school year, students that ride on Elk Island Catholic School buses in Sherwood Park/Strathcona County and Camrose will be issued a new student scan card (Bus Pass) that works in conjunction with the Versatrans My Stop app.

This new system is designed to provide greater peace of mind and more accurate information for everyone. Here's what you need to know:

  • Student Safety: Each student will use their personalized scan card to scan on and off the bus. This action is recorded in the system, providing real-time ridership data for our transportation staff.
  • Real-Time Bus Tracking: The My Stop app allows parents and guardians to track their student's bus location on a map in real-time. You'll be able to see the bus's estimated time of arrival (ETA) at the designated stop, which can help you and your student plan your morning and afternoon routines more efficiently. Please note that if the bus driver gives you a time for pickup or drop off, please go with the time the driver gives you.
  • Instant Notifications: The app can be configured to send push notifications to your smartphone.
  • Simple to Use: The My Stop app is a free download available on both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. You will receive important information about how to login with your child’s bus pass.

This new system is a significant step forward in our commitment to student safety and communication. We encourage all parents and guardians of bus riders to download and familiarize themselves with the My Stop app.

A similar program is available for students in Fort Saskatchewan and Vegreville that ride with Elk Island Public Schools.
