Welcome International Students!
Elk Island Catholic Schools (EICS) welcomes international students from all over the world.
While working towards completion of high school graduation requirements, international students develop fluency in English and experience Canadian culture and society.
What we Offer
EICS provides a fully accredited, academic program that follows the Alberta Education curriculum and includes a broad range of activities. Instruction is primarily in English, with some schools offering French Immersion and Ukrainian Bilingual programming as well.
To help ensure success, EICS offers English Second Language (ESL) training and a wide range of support services to all of our international students.
Extracurricular Activities
EICS offers quality athletic and fine arts programming throughout the division, with many of our schools displaying championship banners and awards. We offer our students a wide range of programming from golf and downhill skiing to theatre and music. At the same time, our schools offer students a variety of clubs and programs that allow them to explore an even broader range of interests. Our programs include the following activities:

Support Services for International Students
At EICS, all international students have access to a variety of support services, including English assessment, assistance with course selection, and English as a Second Language (ESL) support.
