Due to the diversity and expanse of our school division, we offer a comprehensive and varied transportation service to our families in Sherwood Park, Fort Saskatchewan, Camrose, the Counties of Strathcona, Lamont, and the surrounding area of Vegreville/Mundare. Safety is always our guiding principle when planning and making transportation decisions.
Transportation is provided under agreement with Battle River School Division. Busing registrations and changes can be accessed online through your child’s Powerschool Portal located at EICSPowerschool.
Urban transportation and rural transportation in Sturgeon County is provided under contract. Rural transportation in the area east of Fort Saskatchewan including Bruderheim and Lamont is provided under a cooperative busing agreement with Elk Island Public Schools. Busing registrations and changes can be accessed online through your child’s Powerschool Portal located at EICSPowerschool.
Urban and rural transportation is provided by division owned school buses operated by board employees and 3 contracted bus routes for the Special Education runs. All students residing within Sherwood Park attending Archbishop Jordan High School access Strathcona Transit.
Urban and rural transportation is provided under a cooperative busing agreement with Elk Island Public Schools and St. Paul Education Regional Division. Busing registrations and changes can be accessed online through your child’s Powerschool Portal located at EICSPowerschool.
Busing Requests and Payments
All students transported to/from an EICS school must apply for busing and require a bus pass.
How do I apply for busing or change my child’s busing information?
Click on “Student Fees and Forms” in the Navigation tool bar.
Select “Checkout” and then click “Submit Payment”.
Put the full amount owing into the cart and hit “Submit”.
An option for a payment plan will be made available at this point.
We will attempt to process requests within 5 working days of receipt of the request. The bus driver will contact you with the stop time and location which is confirmation that your child can access the bus.
NOTE: A monthly scheduleis required for any students who are being picked up or dropped off at more than one location (ie home or sitter) affected by parent/guardian work timetables. Schedules must be emailed to the Transportation Department before the last day of each month at firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you do not have a PowerSchool Parent account or require assistance during Summer Break, please contact the Transportation Office. In the new school year, parents requiring assistance with their PowerSchool account should contact their school directly.
