Notice of the Vote for the Establishment of a Separate School District - March 21, 2024
Notice is hereby given that a vote regarding the establishment of a separate school district will be held at Vegreville Agricultural Society, 4753 - 54 Avenue, Vegreville on March 21, 2024, between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. for the purpose of determining whether the separate school district should be established.
The proposed establishment area includes the following lands, legally described herein:
- Imperial School District No. 893
- Mayflower School District No. 1560
- Pleasant Ridge School District No. 3065
Township 50, Range 13, West of the 4th Meridian
Sections 17 to 20 Inclusive; Sections 30 and 31; South half and Northwest quarter of Section 29; West half of Section 32.
Township 50, Range 14, West of the 4th Meridian
Sections 13 to 36 inclusive.
Township 51, Range 14, West of the 4th Meridian
Sections 2 to 5 inclusive; Sections 8 to 11 inclusive; Sections 15 and 16; North half and Southwest quarter of Section 14; South half and Northeast quarter of Section 17.
Note: The only persons entitled to vote are the eligible separate school electors residing in the lands legally described above.
An eligible separate school elector is someone who is:
(a) 18 years of age or older;
(b) a Canadian citizen;
(c) a resident of the public school district on the day which the establishment vote is held; and
(d) is of the Roman Catholic faith.
