The Elk Island Catholic Schools Board of Trustees approved the 2024-2025 school year calendars at their public board meeting on Wednesday, January 24.

A number of factors are taken into consideration during the creation of the school calendars for each year, including:

  • Maintaining a fall and spring break.
  • Providing the necessary hours of instruction.
  • Support of a quality learning environment and staff professional development.
  • Joint student transportation coordination with service providers, including Elk Island Public Schools in Fort Saskatchewan and Vegreville, and Battle River School Division in Camrose.
