Registering Your Child
Kindergarten
Your child can attend Kindergarten with Elk Island Catholic Schools in the 2010-11 school year, if they are five years old on or before March 1, 2011.
To find out what school your child will attend, simply select the interactive boundary map on the home page of our website or visit the registering your child page.
Elementary, Junior and Senior High
NEW TO OUR DIVISION?
Registering with EICS is easy. Use the interactive school boundary map to find out what school your child should attend. Download the registration form or register online and include all required documentation and certificates. You can also register your child by visiting your designated school or your school of choice.
ALREADY A STUDENT? Normally, if your child is already a student with EICS, they will be automatically registered at the same school for the next year. However, for the 2010-11 school year we are renewing our registration process and our registration forms. All students, therefore, must resubmit a new registration form (please refer to Letter From Superintendent: New Registration Form below). Please note: you do not need to resubmit your child's baptismal certificate or other such documents - only the new registration form.
Once you complete the new registration form, you will no longer need to re-register for subsequent years. Your child will be automatically registered in the same school for the next year. Letter from Superintendent: New Registration Form
GOING TO JUNIOR HIGH OR HIGH SCHOOL?
If your child is transitioning between elementary, junior high and high school, your child will automatically be registered in the appropriate school according to the Elk Island Catholic School boundaries, which are available using our interactive school boundary map located on the home page of our website. (Please review the above section on Already a Student?)
CHOOSING YOUR OWN SCHOOL - School of Choice?
Families wishing to choose a school not in their boundary must complete a Boundary Exemption Form and submit it to the principal of the school of your choice.
Please note: approval for school of choice requires that there are sufficient resources and facilities available to accommodate the student at the school of choice.
